Minkirri APANA link down. --DonovanBaarda, Thu, 19 Aug 2004 12:54:52 +1000 reply
The minkirri link to APANA has been down since Saturday 14th August. This appears to be caused by a Telstra fault with the ISDN line, probably caused by all the rain and/or power glitches. This is currently being investigated.

While this link is down, dialin users can still do most things through the secondary ADSL connection. External users can reach minkirri via the minkirri.dyndns.org URL. Unfortunately the APANA link is crucial for incoming email, so mail will be queued upstream until this problem is resolved.

The bad news is I have been in Bali since Saturday, and will not return until Saturday 28th. Communications in Bali are rather primitive, making it hard to resolve this. (Tony, if you read this, can you please have a look!)

Further info when it becomes available!

Minkirri APANA Link still down.. --DonovanBaarda, Mon, 23 Aug 2004 16:01:33 +1000 reply
The minkirri link with APANA is still down, and it still looks like a Telstra ISDN problem. The weather in Bali is very nice. Something is happening because the house minder has SMS'ed asking for details of the Telstra ISDN line that I reported faulty, but that's all I know. I suspect that nothing will be fixed until I return on Saturday... fingers crossed it gets resolved before then but I'm not optomistic.

Minkirri APANA Link UP! --DonovanBaarda, Fri, 27 Aug 2004 16:43:49 +1000 reply
As people may have noticed, on Tuesday 24th August at 8:40am, the APANA link came up. Either Telstra fixed something, or some flooded phonelines finally dried out. I'm back in Melbourne late tomorrow (Saturday 28th), but it looks like things are working OK now anyway.

Link issues. --DonovanBaarda, Sat, 30 Jul 2005 13:15:21 +1000 reply
The minkirri ADSL link has been causing grief. The reason is a dodgey ADSL driver. A newer driver is now available, but I'm loath to try installing new drivers remotely. Now that Jayne is back in Melbourne, she can re-boot minkirri as required when this problem re-occurs. When I return to Melbourne at the end of August I will upgrade the drivers and this problem should disapear.

Email Restored --DonovanBaarda, Fri, 17 Nov 2006 03:15:28 +0000 reply
Minkirri email finally restored from backups... this merged in all the emails from the last minkirri remote backup. This should include nearly all emails, thought there may have been a small window of emails that are still missing from between the last backup and when the email was migrated to the new server.

Minkirri Migrated --DonovanBaarda, Fri, 24 Feb 2012 19:04:10 -0500 reply
Minkirri has had a rocky time over the last year. It's been migrated from Hamilton Victoria to a new tiny solid-state shuttle box in Sydney. This migration has included a fresh install, and is still a bit rough around the edges. EMail? has mostly been working OK, but the WebServer only just came back up today, now running on LigHttpd? instead of Apache. Feel free to file issues for any problems you encounter.

The minkirri Zwiki has been down because Zope 2.12 stopped working on Debian. I've just upgraded it to Zope 2.13 and it's back.
