The euphoria of life all about them won't allow Cira to be unhappy and he looks with pleasure on it. But he is saddened to see Shyriath so miserable. Not having the deep empathy of some he is more isolated from Shyr's pain.
*quietly* "Come on Shyr, lets go home. If I were to make myself into one of the jungle creatures would the Sa'arunai'itai be likely to detect me poking about their cities? I spent many years in the cities of men in the form of birds and other creatures. Never was I detected. But the Sa'arunai'itai are much more capable, do they maintain psionic links with the creatures of the jungle? What's our best bet for finding a way home?"
The morning sun is all ready warm, indicating the day will be *hot*.
The heat, at least, comforts Shyriath; taking a few moments to try and warm his bones, he finally speaks.
"No, they would not keep links open with every living thing... were you to become a local animal, and refrain from doing anything that would arouse suspicion, they would likely never notice you. Indeed, you could probably go anywhere you liked that way; animals are not often disturbed from their movements, even in private dwellings.
"As for where you should look..." He gets a faraway look in his eye, as he tries to remember things from longs ago.
"There is a building, in the center of the city... it is Shule'e Mara'adeku'ua-" He stops, then begins speaking again. "It doesn't translate well, but it roughly means 'Life Sciences Academy...' they might have some kind of stasis capsule there that can be captured and used to keep us alive until our present time..."
