Shyriath's Little Trip (alternate) part 20

Shyriath awakens to the sound of singing. The pale green has always loved certain types of music, and while he is more fond of instrumental than vocal expression, singing can itself be truly wonderful when used at the proper times, and sung at the proper tones.

Unfortunately, he is not in the proper mood for strong singing.

The sickly-looking dragon slowly uncoils and begins standing up, a long, painful process for him. His joints almost audibly creak in protest as he straightens up.

Leaving the cave, coming out into the light of morning, Shyriath looks like a mess. If he were human, his hair would be standing on end. As it is he looks as if he'd had the most restless night's sleep of his entire life, and his expression conveys that the sunny, cheerful surroundings do not extend their influence to him. While not actually appearing grouchy... he is capable of that mood, but rarely exhibits it, as mild as he is... but he DOES look discontented.

Squinting up into the sun, scowling, and immediately turning his head to a region of less light, Shyriath begins observing his surroundings with a tired eye.

Oh, it isn't as if he has no appreciation for life... he does. But he isn't a morning dragon, and his fragile skeleton and bad joints repond less than optimally to a bed of rocks... something he'd almost forgotten since his travels ended when he'd returned to Alfandra.
