While unconcious Shadowing dreams of times long
past where he was part of another world. He was human, but also something
more. He could call forth
increadible powers to aid him. But it was
only just a dream. Reality gradually begins to take shape and he
wakes up to find himself in a small house. He goes over the recent
events in his mind and concludes that he must be in that town. "Good
morning" a voice is heard from across the room. Shadowing looks up trying
to see who is speaking. All he suceedes in doing is hurting himself
and he falls back to the bed. "Don't try to get up, I found you lying
near the gap. You looked badly hurt like you had just fallen off
the Spire." The Spire, another name that rings a bell, but not enough
to clue him in on his location. "Tell me, whats your name?" Shadowing
finds his mind racing, *I have to come up with a more human name so i don't
raise suspicions*
He remembers something that he was called once. "Gary, and you are?"
He could tell there was a bit of surprise from the man and Shadowing thought he had picked a bad name. "There are stories about one by that name. Bah, that was years ago, he and the others went back to their own world once they finished their job here." Shadowing became curious and wanted to know more about these stories, having a love of legends and similar stuff.
"Can you tell me the story?" He asked the man.
"Be best if you go talk with someone a little more knowledgable about that, if you can get across the Red Divide you could make it to Andor and talk to the scholors there." Shadowing tries to rise again and soon finds out hes still not any better.
"Red Divide, is that the river to the south?" Shady inquires
"Aye, if you're going to try crossing it you best get plenty of rest. Very few are able to get through it alive, you have to go under it since the river itself can kill you in a matter of seconds." Shady laughs to himself at this bit of information *or I can fly right over it* "Well I'll leave you alone now, get some rest." Shady began planning his trip ahead. *I wonder why I'm going to go look up some stuff on an old hero and not try to find my way home, oh well I may not ever be able to come back here so I might as well see and do what I can* In no time Shady was asleep again.
That night while he slept someone was speaking to him "Why have you returned? There is no need for you to be here now." The voice sounded commanding yet also concerned. Shady tried to answer but found himself unable to speak. "If you need me, you know where to find me." As the voice faded off Shady tried desperately to tell the person that he didn't know who he was or where to find him. A futile effort and he could tell the other person was gone.
