ETTING

LFANDRA
Rashad groaned and watched
the the battle. It hurt to move. He wasn't burned too badly. Though, his
grey-white underside was heavily ladden with dark ash. "Aaaaahhhhh", he
started to move a bit more. The blue dragon looked up again. His eyes widened.
"She took out his eye", he stammered. No one has ever given Avin'kar a
lasting injury like that, even more in such a short battle (compared to
others). A part of him was happy for this, the other couldn't help but
look to his dead friend. He sighed. 'Kar's new scar isn't going to bring
Nikhail back. Damn you'. "Bastard".
"You okay?"
"Huh?"
He looked to see Jehann
staring at him. She frowned," Time for a breather, eh? Hm, we need to find
you a healer or something".
The blue dragon
blinked a few times before answering. "I don't need one".
"But.."
"I'm fine!"
Jehann moved back
from him. He sighed, "I'm sorry, I...I didn't mean to snap at you. I thank
you. We're even now. You can go and do whatever you were doing before we
met."
She shook
her head, "No, I want to help. Besides, I have no idea where I am. I might
need some aid to get me home."
Taking this
in, he nodded. "Also, I want to know why we both look so much alike", Jehann
added.
"A coincidence,
that's all it is", he muttered.
"Seems more
than a coincidence to me".
He looked at her for a moment and laid
down on his stomach. She watched him for a bit. Jehann sighed and settled
next to him. As if by some, unknown feeling alone, she laid her head on
his neck, against the back of his head.
