Rashad watched what came from the
shadow for a while and gasped. He twisted his neck back, "Jehann...MOVE!!!!"
"What?", she asked. Soon, she felt
hot and looked up. Several fireballs barralled down from the sky followed
by a berserker laugh. Not having time now to move, Jehann focused her energy
and let out a bolt of lightning into the air. As the fireballs came in
contact, they exploded; sending Jehann flying across the field. Gaining
footing, she looked to see Avin'kar taking a nose dive toward her. "Let's
see if you can do any better!"
Jehann charged in his
direction. As the red dragon tried to slash at her, she ducked and rolled.
As Avin'kar passed, she let out a bigger lightning bolt behind him. The
bigger dragon turned, but not enough to dodge all of the blast. Half
of the blast hit him on his left side. He growled and hissed roughly as
he landed. "That was a good shot", he grinned. A moment later, he disappeared
in another puff of smoke.
"Just wonder... arrgghhh!"
Jehann fell forward as she
felt a sharp pain on her right side. She looked behind to see Avin'kar
grinning. Looking at her side, there was a burn mark. It stung harshly,
like something jabbed into her side. The crimson dragon lifted a talon
into the air, as a fireball began to form and grow. "Well, you seem to
be quite out of it in the first place, to your own disadvantage. Being
injured doesn't help either. But, nothing matters really", he spoke as
the fireball grew. As she watched, trying to figure out something, a rapid
movement of electrical currents appeared over Avin'kar's body.
"Leave her alone, she's
not apart of this!"
Rashad was holding Avin'kar's
tail tight, relaying his energy into the bigger dragon. Avin'kar hissed
as he tried to get free, only to find himself still in the hold. He wailed
suddenly and threw the ball of fire into the air. It went not too far up
as it came crashing down toward the blue dragon. Rashad tried to let go
and move out of the way, only to find the red dragon relaying his own energy
into him. He let out a painful cry. Finally, Jehann got to her feet. Too
late.
The fireball fell
upon Rashad, causing him to scream out in pure pain. He fell to the ground.
