ETTING
OME
LFANDRA
Cira watches as Jehann's twin becomes a dragon. The transformation reminds Cira of Karkovice. Kark never did find a way to transform without pain.
"You don't look dead to me." *g*
Rashad turned his head toward Cira. Groaning, he replied softly," Where.......who?"
Jehann sighed in relief as she approached Rashad. She placed an ivory white talon on his forehead. He looked up at her slowly as she began to smile. "You're in my lair, Tehrann. Just you, me, and Cira. No one else, everything is fine, 'kay?"
The dark blue dragon watched the two and nodded. He sat up weakly, folding his wings back slowly. Leaning back aganst the wall, he closed his eyes. "Just a dream."
"But you don't sound so good. What's wrong?", Cira asked.
He opene his eyes and stared at Cira as if the other dragon wasn't there. He looked away and sighed," Nothing is wrong, just nothing. Just....just had a hard time 'coming back' to my true form, that's all."
Jehann shook her head. "But, Tehr, something /has/ to be wrong! You were twisting and turning, kicking and moaning.......what we saw was not a nothing, my dear brother."
Cir' is silent for a while before he realizes that Rashad isn't telling us what he knows because he feels uncomfortable. He thinks about this for a while longer before replying.
"Hey Rashad, I'll be your friend drak. I don't know everything but I'll help 'ya anyway you want. If 'ya wanna talk about it we could go for a walk down on the beach. If not you might want to get some rest here. Jehann has a nice lair."
Rashad looks over to Cira and watches him like he's crazy. "You...you want to be my friend. You barely know me?"
Jehann starts to open her mouth, but quickly closes it.
"I've found in life that most of us ought to be friends. I've also seen that most of us aren't and feel 'outside' because no one ever really reached out to us. Or because we know how different we are from everyone else and figure we could never fit in any where. When I came to this world I realized I had found a place where I could just be myself and that no one would be offended by that. I guess we all have places like that, it's just a matter of finding them, or knowing that we have found them. Just having someone you can talk to makes a big difference."
Rashad watches Cira for a bit. Finally, he laid back into the forest green pillows."I see what you're getting at....I guess it would be nice."
The blue dragon attempted to raise himself from
the bed, but ends up faltering back into a slump. "Ow."
Jehann goes over to him, frowning. "Tehrann,
you need your rest, this not a good time."
He screwed his face."By the gods, there is no
way I'm staying in this bed til I'm better", he grumbles as he tried to
do it again, "I just have to.....ack!"
Her brother laid back, mumbling every curse he
knew.
The dragoness couldn't help but start to giggle 'It's not the bed's fault' as her twin glared at her.
"Don't hurt yourself! I didn't realize you were still that out of it. You don't really have any idea why you're still hurting do you?"
Rashad gave Cira an odd look. "Listen, I'm fine, there's nothing....." his voice becomes softer, "wrong with me."
Jehann watches her brother and goes up to him
and places both her hands upon his shoulders. She squeezes a bit as Rashad
responds with a slow hiss.
"There is something wrong, isn't there?"
He watches her and Cira for a bit, and closes his eyes. "It doesn't matter, nothing can help me. That's why I'm fine."
