ETTING

LFANDRA
Taking to the air, Jehann starts
to lead them to her lair, at the cliffs near the bay. The sun was still
high, with a calm breeze blowing. Rashad's clothing started to flap wildly
during the flight, as he seemed to have stablize a bit.
It is not too long until the sound of
crashing waves becomes very prominent. "It's over here."
She starts to fly lower. The air is filled with
sea spray as they fly toward the cliff sides. The sides themselves are
fairly steep, ending with jagged rocks at their bottom. Jehann flies ahead
to land on a perturding, flat ledge. "And here we are", she sighs.
As they pass through her doorway, Rashad starts
to twist and turn again. Without further delay, Jehann rushes him into
one of her two guest rooms and lays him on the bed.
The bed itself has sienna, wooden frame with
decorated light brown covers and deep green pillows. Compared to her twin,
still in his human form, the bed was huge.
The blue dragoness tucked him in and took a step back. Jehann exhaled silently. Every so often, a jerk....a small kick....a yelp for help. She looked down to the ground, mumbling every curse known she knew. She hated it, watching him suffer like this. She wanted to do something. The only problem was what to do. 'Calm down, Jay. This is not like you! He doesn't need a sister on the verge of panic!' Exhaling once more, a cool shudder wracked her worried form.
Cira has been quiet during the flight, still pondering
what is happening to Rashad without coming to any real conclusions. Looking
at the little figure on the bed he realizes that he doesn't really know
who Rashad is or much of what happened on Jehann's trip. Still looking
at Rashad he asks.
"So, what happened on your adventures? I see
you picked up a friend."
Looking at the bed Cira can't help but wonder what it's like to sleep on a bed as a dragon. He usually sleeps on his favorite rock outside. Even when he had a lair it was a loft where he slept. "The claws would probably tear the blankets" he thinks aloud.
Jehann 'wakes up' from her reverie and looks to
Cira. She had almost forgotten he was right there. Sighing, she responds,
"Special fabric. No, Cira, he's not a friend. He's my twin brother...."
Before she can finish what she was saying, a low draconic-like growl erupted
from Rashad. With a quick twist, Rashad rolled onto his stomach, causing
the covers to go over his head. Jehann stood back. Growls and moans continued
as the shape underneath the covers started to distort, to grow bigger.
The dragoness frowned and thought, 'This shouldn't be hurting him like
this.'
With a final moan, two leathery, dark blue wings
extended out from the covers. The figure started to gasp for air.
Jehann asked worriedly, "Tehr?"
The dragoness motioned over to the bed. She pulled
back some of the covers. Instead of the dark-haired young man, there was
a dark blue dragon. He mirrored Jehann in some ways. There were the differences.
He was a more muscular, darker blue than her somewhat lighter, aquamarine-blue
self. Instead of two harden skin plates, he had two, dark blue scaled horns.
They still shared the wild silver blue fringes down their spines, few pieces
between their golden eyes. Their talons were both ivory white and undersides
were a dull white as well. The dark blue dragon's tail popped out from
under a cover, showing their similar dolphin fin shaped tail ends.
Rashad looked warily at Jehann. "Jay," he whispered
weakly," Am I dead?"
