LFANDRA
Jehann left her injured twin's side
and walked towards the new anomaly. The pink orb spun like a top, faster
and slower; it was like a beating heart. The blue dragoness hesitated and
took a deep breath as she stepped forward. She exhaled slowly. 'Touch the
outer part, think of where you want go to.' *pause* 'Oh, please be able
to go there, please.' Clearing her head, she extended her arm out to the
waving, lighter outer edges of the mist. A second past, she touched them.
A huge *whoosh* sound erupted and
Jehann stepped back. All that was running through her mind was the possibilty
that the gate wouldn't go to where she wanted it to; the fact that each
only went to five specfic worlds. She gulped and watched in earnest. 'Please,
oh please.'
The pink mist orb flattened horizontally
and wobbled up and down, like a coin just dropped upon a table top. Soon,
it flipped vertically and started to spin like mad. A strong wind gust
surrounded it, squeezed it, released it, and squeezed it again. The actions
continued until the orb literally popped, sending tendrils of pink mist
outward, waving in the air. The tendrils spun around each other. They started
to weave into one another, one after the other. They formed a woven ring
and started to glow. Within seconds, another erupting *whoosh* sound was
heard and the dragoness jumped for joy.......when she saw the familiar
rows of shops. "Thank you!!!", Jehann yelled as she looked happly at the
spherical image of Alfandra.
"What?"
The blue dragoness looked behind
herself and rushed back to Rashad. "What....where is that...."
"It's my home, Alfandra. We can't
journey with you like this, besides Avin'kar's is somewhere lost whatever,
and I can get you some help quick back home!"
Rashad watched her weakly, vaguely
paying attention. His wound had stretched out more from flying and was
now beginning to bleed again. The dragon's breaths were now shorter and
gasplike. Jehann bit her tongue, trying to think of something. He was not
even in the condition to get up!
"Tehr..Tehrann, listen to me,"she said
gently sweeping his silver blue fringes back," Can you try to change into
human form? I can carry you then." He watched her silently with dull, golden
eyes. "Tehrann?"
Rashad, finally, let out a scream
and Jehann backed up. As his bdy began to change and shrink, she closed
her eyes for a bit; wincing everytime he gave a painful roar. After a while,
she heard gasping and open them back. In the place of a 30 ft. dark blue
dragon was a 5 ft. 9' in. human. Even in this, he mirrored her somewhat,
with honey skin, dark hair, and brown eyes. He had an athletic build; his
hair was wavy, though, and reached his shoulders. He was dressed in a white,
cotton tunic and matching pants. Though, instead of white on the lower
part of the shirt, was a growing red streak.
Jehann rushed over to the bags and
grabbed one. She, quickly, emptied it into the other bag and went back
to her brother. She opened the mouth of the bag as wide as it can go and
left it on the ground. The dragoness went over to the her brother and picked
him up slowly and gently. He groaned slightly as she eased him over the
bag. She settled him into it, planning to use it as a carrying bag for
him; like a cartoon stork. She gathered the other bag and pulled the strap
of the bag with Rashad over her shoulder. "Jehann?"
"Shhhh, I'll get you help, I promise."
He didn't say another word and eased back
into the travel bag. Jehann walked over to the sphere and spread her wings.
Taking in one final breath, she leapt through the RealmGate.
