In the air, Avin'kar gloated to himself.
He watched happily as his 'old friend' hit ground below, causing a small
crater. "Oh, poor baby." He would of done it himself, of course, but the
fact of his new singular vision made it harder on him. One can ask for
a little help, well pay for some anyways. Propelling himself forward, he
flew to the new crater and landed beside it. His hired aids were not too
far off, coming closer. Looking down with his black eye, he watched the
bleeding, blue dragon try to climb out, only to growl in pain. "Now, for
your sister", he grinned.
"You /touch/ her, and I swear......I'll
kill you", Rashad growled.
The red dragon shifted a bit, and
touched his scar lightly, where the other eye use to be, with a black talon.
"Look at what she did to me, Tehr. Plus," he continued," you owe me."
"I....owe..... you your own blood!"
Avin'kar backed away slightly, as
Rashad began to climb out of the crater; to stand before him. He faltered,
as his injured side throbbed. The one-eyed dragon smirked, looking to his
help. "He's all yours", 'Kar said to them.
Before the two could come closer,
a bolt of lightening hit them straight on. The lightening continued to
barrel down on them until it stopped suddenly. The purple dragon, ladden
with dark sploches, fell upon its rider, who did not have much time to
move away.
The red dragon looked up to see
an angered Jehann flying fast towards him. "YOU GET AWAY FROM HIM, UNLESS
YOU WANT ME TO TAKE AWAY MORE THAN JUST YOUR OTHER EYE!!!!!"
'Kar dove down as Jehann's talons
came close to grabbing him. As she flew back upward, he began to develop
several fireballs. Then, it hit him. He looked to his right. Still on the
hill, Geni Long was battling with the portal; trying to keep it open. With
her one hand shooting a luminous blue beam, she used the other to throw
the travel bags through. With his berserker grin, he launched himself into
the air. "No!!!", Rashad yelled.
Gathering what strength he
had left, Rashad took to the air toward the elf. "Long!! Get away from
there!"
The elven woman turned to
see the crimson ex-Wraithian coming towards her followed by Rashad and
then, Jehann. "Oh, what, time to converge on me! I'm busy here!!"
Geni Long stopped the beam.
She tossed back her brown mane of hair back and snapped her fingers. Within
seconds, she was enclosed inside a transparent ball, which levitated itself
high into the air. She looked down at the wavering portal and back at the
dragons coming near her. She took a deep breath.'You have one chance to
try this.' Letting her energies focus in her hands, she started to lift
them. The portal disappeared for a split-second, reappearing in mid-air
in front of
Rashad. "Go, you two! I have everything under
control!"
The blue dragon had no other choice
but to fly to through, followed by his sister. Avin'kar twisted around,
away from the elf, growling. "You're not going anywhere without me!", he
said as he sped toward the disappearing sphere.
A wicked grin appeared upon
Geni Long's face. As her green eyes sparked, she started to put her hands
together, making the portal shrink as Avin'kar barely made it through."You're
not going to like what you get, you arrogant little lizard."
