Jehann the Wanderer part 9.2

Being the arrogant and egotistical dragon he was, Avin'kar challenged Rashad. Rashad, feeling another double cross coming, refused it, angrying the crimson one even more. What's worse then being humilated for trying to murder a fellow Wraith member (which almost got him cut from the group), why having your own challenge refused like it was childish. The angered dragon did what he did best.
Rashad had fewer friends then, having a problem trusting anyone. One of them was a shapeshifting mercenary named Karin. 'Kar had the fellow Wraithian killed, unknowingly shattering the roots of the Wraith; for the fact Karin was the hidden leader of the group. After the death, Rashad finally left the dying Wraith, becoming a vagabond for a while using the name Sea Ghost; before meeting Geni Long and taking on the new name, Rashad. He placed Tehrann, Tehr for short (sounds like tear), for dead.
Avin'kar, of course, never forgave the ex-Wraithian, blaming him for causing the red dragon to destroy the group. The red dragon disappeared for a long time. When he did resurface, he wanted Rashad for destroying all of his work, which brought him here, to Wrenmayr.

It was late now. When Rashad finished his story, he sat still and silent. His eyes clouded and sorrowful. He spoke softly on how many he lost, and those he killed for reasons only the Wraith would know of. The blue dragon lowered his head and whispered an apology to the deceased Nikhail. Jehann sat up and walked over to her twin. She nuzzled him, which startled the dragon greatly. The two stared at each other for a while. Finally, Rashad walked over to the rug and laid down on his stomach, looking up at the glowing crystal. Jehann sighed; went and nestled next to her twin brother.

"Do you still have problems trusting others?", she asked. "It just depends now", he whispered,"I trust you. But not totally, you....you understand?"
The blue dragoness smiled at him and nodded. "Just like you have to understand that I can harass you at any given time."
She heard him chuckle for a second, which made her feel better. Though, she couldn't remove the feeling of not being to be there for her twin. Nor, the mystery of why her parents gave him up and never mentioned him again except for a possible hint a long time ago. 'Or, did they?' She shook her head and sighed. She was tired. Closing her eyes, Jehann felt sleep start to take over.

Geni Long smiled. She looked into a clear, cracked-style, glass bowl filled with water. In the bowl, she saw the twins, fast asleep. 'Aww', she thought as she watched Rashad even more. The blue dragon had unfurled his right wing, covering Jehann with it; almost as if he was frightened that someone would snatch her away during the night. The elven woman sighed and closed the channel. She had work to do.
