Jehann sighed as she nestled against her twin brother, Rashad, also known as Tehrann.
After dinner at Nirakai Meesha, Rashad told her
there was something he wanted to show her. After checking with Geni Long,
to see if they were needed, the two flew into the night. The flight was
calm and nice. The night glittered lively with stars. The wind currents
were cool and swift. It was peaceful out, the only sounds were the wind,
occaisonal animal calls, and the crashing of waves from the nearby beach.
Beneath them, the forest went by in a blur, every so often birds would
scramble out after they passed. They flew, side by side, in silence, mirroring
each other from appearance to flight speed. When the sound of waves slamming
against the rocks became for prominent, they had reached a cliff side,
someways from the beach near Nira'. As they flew nearer, Jehann noticed
something about the cliff....an opening.
It didn't take long for the twins to fly and
land inside the cave in the cliff side. The cave was half-way down the
cliff, which explained the wet, front ledge. Once inside, it was completely
dark. Rashad, after telling her to wait, went in front and disappeared.
In a second, a crackling sound echoed off the walls of the cave. In a flash,
a luminious, white light lit the cave quickly. Jehann saw the source to
be a white, crystal shard, which most likely had magickal capabilities.
As it acted like a lamp, Rashad ushered her inside more. As she did, it
began to feel warmer until the temperature settled and stopped rising.
Rashad explained to her that the shard was from Geni Long, when the elf
realized that the dragon had a habit of coming to the cave. Jehann soon
neared an area of the cave. It was circular, with a multi-colored rug in
the middle and a futon near the wall. On the opposite wall was shelves
holding various objects from books to Tiger-eye stone orbs. She realized
it was a place where he came to relax and to hide from everyone, except
from Geni Long. Although, she gave him his space. The air smelled like
sandalwood mixed with vanilla.
Soon, Rashad pulled out two, fluffy azure, cotton
mats. Each settled on one, Jehann laying down a bit, with her head propped
up by her fore limb. The other reclined against the dry cave wall. After
getting situated, Jehann couldn't help but ask her twin a question, what
happened between him and Avin'kar. At first the dragoness didn't want an
answer, as she saw Rashad uncomfortable with it. But, he sighed and started
the tale. Soon, she wished she never asked.
Rashad had known of Avin'kar many years before.
It wasn't til a couple of years ago that it all started. At the time, the
Wraith had been destroyed. The Wraith was a group of crooked mercenaries,
blood thristy fighters, and the power hungry, ranging from many races and
sexes. Avin'kar was in the group. He was never a strong fighter, though.
He relied heavily on his teleporting powers, smoke screens, fireballs and
those who just wanted to fight or be paid to. Also, 'Kar was incredibly
arrogant to boot.
At one time, the two were, oddly enough, friends.
But, one day, Avin'kar killed Rashad's foster father, who he tried to blackmail
for money. Not needing the blame, he framed Rashad for it and the blue
dragon was exiled from his home. Although, a year later, they said he could
come back, when the verdict was found not to be him. It was too late, for
Rashad had joined the Wraith, feeling rejected by his two clans, his foster
and the real one whom he never met. For the longest time, Rashad never
knew it was the red dragon who killed and framed him for it, so they were
still friends. Being a part of Wraith, he plundered and fought, killing
when neccesary. It wasn't for a while, that the blue dragon learned 'Kar's
secret, while the crimson one was planning to double cross him again. Instead,
her twin got the upper hand and humilated the dragon in front of everyone.
