Jehann the Wanderer part 7.2
"Because you're special", Geni Long answered.
"How did you...."
"I can read thoughts at will".
"Oh", said Jehann.
Geni Long watched the blue dragon for a while."Rashad
is fine. To tell the truth, he'll be even better now".
"Why so?"
The elven woman grinned, "He stayed with you
most of the time. He was quite worried about you, since you lost so much
blood", she stopped for a second, "Would you like me to get him for you?"
"Could you?"
"Yes, I could", she said,"Also, I don't go reading
others minds just like that, but I was curious."
"Oh, wanted to see what I thought of all of this?"
"No, I wanted to make sure I didn't cause your brain to cave in when I
hit your head. I'll send for him."
Jehann raised an eye, feeling a little insulted.
'Why did I have to get stuck with..'
"Now, don't you start that again", Geni Long
teased. "Hey!"
"What?"
The elf winked and left. Jehann shook her head.
She looked up at the ceiling, "You doing this just to annoy me, right?"
Sighing, she settled back into her bed and watched her dancing curtains
for a while.
It wasn't long before a knock came upon her wooden
door. Jehann lifted her head up to the sound. "Yes?"
The door opened slowly, as Rashad poked his head
in. The dragoness looked up and tried to sit up. As she got up, another
hot pain shot up her back. She hissed as Rashad rushed to her side. "Lay
back down, Jehann. You need to relax", he told the other dragon as he eased
her back into her bed.
"It's been 2 days! I feel fine. Just a little
sore." Rashad gave her a stern look.
"Okay, okay, you win. Don't kill me, alright?"
His golden eyes clouded as he looked away for
a bit. Jehann watched him and sighed, "I'm just saying all the wrong things,
aren't I?"
The male dragon shook his head. "None of this
is your fault. We just burned Nikhail yesterday."
