ETTING
OME
LFANDRA
Jehann listened to the vague voices in her head,
from some past memory. "Of what though?' Now, she was hearing noises; soft
talking to steps upon the tiled floor. She twisted and groaned, straining
to open her eyes. As they parted a bit, Jehann realized she was in her
room at Nirakai Meesha. Soon, faces came into veiw. They were fuzzy. Everything
was obaque and fuzzy. Closing her eyes back, she felt a heated sensation
up her spine. She hissed at the slight pain. As she slowly shook her head,
she heard a voice clearly, "She's awakening, get the Head Guardian". There
was shuffling, and the room became empty. The blue dragoness settled, waiting
for Geni Long to come.
"Jehann?"
"Yea."
The dragon opened her eyes to see the female
elf at the foot of her bed. Geni Long came closer, putting a hand upon
Jehann's forehead. "How do you feel?"
Jehann gave her an annoyed stare. The elven woman
raised a eye, bringing her wooden cane in focus. It was carved with various
pictures and words, with a translucent cystal ball upon it. "Is that going
to have a special meeting with my head?"
"Depends", she gave a wicked smile.
"Of all the lands ", the blue dragon moaned,
"I land in the one with.."
She raised her cane, "Are you going to finish
that lttle speech?" "No."
Geni Long smiled and shook her head. She settled
herself on the foot of Jehann's bed. There was a long silence until the
dragon spoke. "Are the children alright?"
The elven woman nodded. "A little shaken, nothing
serious. Do you want to know how long you were asleep?"
"Do I want to know?"
"2 days."
"Yes, sure, I would like to know", Jehann replied
sarcastically. Alhough, the news was quite a shock. The shock wore off
when she felt something hit her head, hard and quick. "Hey, that hurt!"
"Your point?"
She sighed, as she asked herself the eternal
question, 'Why me?'
