LFANDRA
'That would explain that odd feeling, right?',
Jehann thought. She continued to think when she started to feel a whole
lot better. The blue dragoness was far away from home. It was nice to know
she had a member of her family near. Suddenly, something struck her.
"Um, found you?", Jehann asked,"I never knew
of any lost blood-kin like your case, Tehrann, I mean Rashad. I mean, oh,
what do you want me to call you?"
Rashad continued to stare at her. Finally, he
answered, "I'm not one of your blood-kin, I have no family. I have no need
for one. This IS all just a coincidence, that's it!"
He started to storm off, leaving Jehann in a
state of shock. "But, I was just saying........"
"I don't give a damn what you were saying. I
thank you for what you have done. Now, find someone to help you home and
go", he said flatly with emotionless eyes. Rashad turned and started to
walk away. Jehann felt her blood start to boil. 'The nerve of him!' "Fine,
fine, I will! I can see why you have no family", she retorted.
The dragoness knew that was a low blow, but she
couldn't help but feel angry at his response. She watched him stop for
a second. He didn't move at all for a while. Jehann waited for a response,
but none came. Instead, he started walking again. The blue dragon walked
into the woods and disappeared. Jehann swallowed hard. Her anger turned
to sympathy as she listen to his movements across leaves and sticks. "Oh,
I didn't mean to...oh, geez."
"Leave him."
Jehann sighed, lowering her head. She looked
over at Geni Long. The elven woman stared toward the woods. "I wanted this
to go better than what had just happened", she said, "It's not your fault,
nor is it his."
"Is there something I can do?"
"Not now....... I shall help you get home, Jehann.
It is called Alfandra, am I correct?"
"Yes....you are correct", she answered quietly.
