Hespa's Story intro 2 - The Search Begins

Stopping off only to pick up Flute from wherever she has been playing, Hespa heads back to her home.  Once there, she sits the little purple hatchie down and looks at her seriously.

"Flute, listen.  I think something very bad has happened, and I think it was my fault..."

As she explains, Flute listens in solemn silence.  Finally, Hespa says, "I'm going to go hunting in thick air.  I know my chances of finding anyone that way are tiny, but I gotta do something, I can't just sit round Here!  There's plenty of stuff in my shop for you to play with, I want you to stay there, OK?  If you hear anything that might help me, or if anything important happens, or if anyone *really* needs to talk to me - and it's gotta be urgent - well, you know how to contact me."

Flute nods in silence.  She may seem young and innocent, but she's a lot older and more complex than most would imagine.

"Great, thanks."  Opening a portal, Hespa gives Flute a final wave before vanishing.  The hatchie sends silent good luck wishes after her as she goes forth.
