Return to Sender part 2

Eventually he managed.  It took some work, (mainly fully inscribing the rune circle for his casting), and a lot of energy, but finally Fengren managed to conjure his glowstone and traveling pouch.  It had taken so much energy to bring them here from the Void, that he knew he hadn't a chance to teleport just yet.

He had thought about his plight for a time, and had decided on the following:
1. His magic worked only if he put a lot of effort into it.
2. He wasn't in any place he recognized.
3. He hadn't done anything unusual to get here.
4. Hespa, however, was cleaning out her storeroom today.  That constitutes unusual.
5. The mental note about foops.
Which led him to believe that either something had gone terribly wrong, and he had been sucked through the Void, or Thick Air, or some other dimensional thingy, and landed in a desolate place, or this was one heck of a nightmare.

Looking around, he saw some mountains in the distance.  He flew as quickly as he could to the mountains, for night was coming on and he definitely didn't want to be outside in the cold at night.

After searching around for a time, Fengren found a nice cave that he could spend the night in.  He tried to settle down for the night in it, but his stomach argued with him for a time.

"Tomorrow!" he told it.

He finally went to sleep in the cave, believing it to be empty.

Fengren woke with a start.  Something was in the cave with him.

Concentrating, Fengren gathered what magical energy he could.  It wasn’t much, but surely he could give whatever it was a fright.

What came around the corner, however, wasn’t the mean nasty creature he expected, but a huggle.  A nice, fuzzy, pink one.

"Awwww!" Fengren murmured, as he reached out a claw to pick it up, but the huggle had other ideas, for it snarled, snapped, and nearly removed his arm from the rest of him.

"You’re not a huggle!" Fengren cried.

"Roar!" the not-huggle responded.

Fleeing the cave into the night, Fengren could only repeat:  “That wasn’t a huggle, was it?”
