ETTING

LFANDRA
*Athagon awakes. Over the horizon, a bright,
yellow colored sun sets over the water, throwing its rays of florescent
light over the water. The sunlight seems to touch upon the crests
of the water, making it appear to be made of pure diamonds. Athagon
lays on the warmed sand for several moments, before remembering Her, the
other dragon. He sits up, stretching his wings, and looks around.
The beach looks largely unchanged, albeit the waves are higher, as if a
high tide had come in while he slept, which he had apparently done the
entire morning. Then, he realizes that he is seemingly alone.*
What happened?
*He shakes his head*
Maybe. No. Maybe it was a dream?
No, it couldn't have been. It was just /too/ real. *Besides,
he was still here, not /there/ anymore. But then, where was she?
And who? And where was he? Or, he thinks, /when/ was he. Deciding
his primary operative for the moment was to find out about where he was,
so he could get back to Alfandra, Athagon stands up, shaking the loosely
packed, still warm, sand from his scales. He stretches his wings
for a moment, before running slightly, and taking off. He flaps his
wings hard, breathing heavily, and begins to gain altitude. As he
soars upwards, he begins to be able to make out some of the surrounding
landscape. He seems to be on a large beach island. To one side,
where he "landed", is a strand of palm trees, with a sharp rocky mountain
just behind. In fact, he
now sees, the mountain seems to make up most
of the island, sharply crashing waves on the steep granite cliffs making
up all sides but the beach on which he landed. Near the top of the
mountain, it appears to level off into a forest. But, what was that
sound? Suddenly:*
* WHAM *
What the‹
*A light, fast-moving, and obviously living weight slammed into his back. Sharp-feeling claws scrabbled for a hold on his back, gripping his sides VERY tightly. Some being, which felt like a dragon, lay down on his back, streamlining with him. Athagon feels himself starting to fall, so he desperately dives into the ocean. The form on his back lets go, and Athagon swims to the surface. Calmly floating on top of the water, grinning slightly, water running down her head, is the dragon he was with earlier. She had creamy blue eyes, and pale yellow scales*
Okay, I think I'm owed some explaining here‹
*She interrupted him*
"Yes, you are. Come with me"
*She swam back to shore, sat down on the sand, and waited for him. Sighing, not understanding, Athagon began to swim back...*
